Our approach to Project Management is driven by our desire to provide both effective and efficient management of our customers' projects, in a manner that is both structured and flexible but focused on one outcome: helping our customers achieve goals.
Successful delivery of projects is not a simple thing to achieve. Studies of thousands of projects by The Gartner Group suggest that more than 30% fail outright and are cancelled, at huge cost, whilst nearly all of the remainder suffer overruns of time and/or budget.
Flexible and Structured
At Alphawest, we know that having a structured approach to Project Management significantly reduces the risk of failure.
To that end, Alphawest has built a Project Management Framework (APMF) that provides a flexible Project Management solution that adapts to the unique needs of each project. Based on the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK®), APMF provides the structure within which our team of professional project managers operates.
APMF also provides the flexibility to work with other Project Management frameworks such as PRINCE2.
People Deliver Projects
At Alphawest, we also know that Project Management is about more than having methodology that aims to ensure that we deliver a quality solution, on time and to budget. Projects are delivered by people and we have invested to build a team of dedicated professional Project Managers, who understand that our projects are your projects.
Our first objective is always to ensure that we understand the business drivers that have created the need for the project within our customer's organisation. This understanding becomes the foundation of our approach to helping our customer achieve their goals.
Communication
Communication is key to the successful delivery of projects whilst maintaining the best business relationship possible.
Alphawest is committed to ensuring that we maintain open and honest communication with all project stakeholders through the entire project lifecycle. To facilitate this we have built a collaborative toolset based on Microsoft’s Enterprise Project Management suite which is accessible to our customers via an extranet service.
