Optus Business and Alphawest serve up ‘Your IT as a Service’

21 March 2012 A private cloud solution hosting data on-premise, ‘Your IT as a Service’ features a centralised catalogue of virtualised IT products and services, including servers, storage, networking, and security applications, from a single web portal. It enables customers to ‘automate’ their IT architecture as a service to significantly reduce deployment time from weeks to potentially a matter of minutes. For example, IT teams can automatically provision services for specific users, while business departments can self-service their requests, such as additional storage needs.

This is a private cloud solution, hosting data on premise using NetApp, and Cisco FlexPod virtual storage, network and compute, VM virtualisation and CommVault data management technologies. It also uses Cisco's Intelligent Automation for Cloud platform as the foundation of its on-premise cloud service for customers.
