Today Alphawest, a leading national ICT (Information and Communications Technology) services company and Microsoft Gold Partner, announced that, through the Microsoft Partner Program, they have fulfilled the qualifications necessary to achieve the Microsoft Unified Communications competency Voice specialisation.

This certification is in recognition of Alphawest’s experience and expertise in delivering unified communications and collaboration solutions and services based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 to its customers.

Alphawest’s experience, its highly certified staff and strong relationships with leading vendors, help it deliver excellent business outcomes for its customers. As a result, Alphawest can provide its customers with more efficient and professional consultation services and technical skills, saving them time and money on their Microsoft implementations and projects.

Alphawest has earned the Microsoft Unified Communications competency Voice specialisation, by completing the required competency testing and a rigorous technical readiness program that includes specific staffing requirements and an internal deployment of the complete Microsoft unified communications offering.

Now that Alphawest has achieved the Microsoft Unified Communications competency Voice specialisation, it is qualified by Microsoft to deploy Microsoft unified communications technologies, such as Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging and Office Communications Server 2007.

“Alphawest is committed to providing its customers with highly valued unified communications and collaboration solutions to help reduce operating costs, streamline business processes and enhance business productivity, which is critical, particularly in the current financial climate,” said Rob Parcell, CEO, Alphawest. “This specialisation also helps reassure our customers that they are engaging a trusted, qualified and experienced IT services partner to deploy and manage Microsoft’s latest unified communications technologies.”

“Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, such as Alphawest, that have achieved Voice specialisation are trained to understand the potential that exists in Microsoft’s software powered voice technologies,” said Eric Swift, Senior Director of product management for the Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Corp. “In this way, Alphawest can offer solutions in and outside the realm of traditional telephony, including working with their customers to create more productive business processes and transform collaboration through unified communications."
