Alphawest is the First Cisco Partner to Achieve Designation in Asia Pacific Region

Alphawest announced today that it has achieved the Advanced Data Centre Networking Infrastructure (DCNI) Specialisation from Cisco®. This specialisation recognises Alphawest as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to sell, design, deploy and support comprehensive Cisco data centre solutions. In addition, Alphawest is one of the first organisations in Australia and the Asia Pacific region to achieve the Advanced Data Centre Networking Infrastructure Specialisation certification from Cisco.

Rob Parcell, Chief Executive Officer, Alphawest said, “this accreditation demonstrates our commitment to investing in developing our skills and capabilities in planning, designing, implementing and managing emerging technologies. Our Data Centre and Storage capabilities are an area of growth for the company and we are extremely proud to be the first Cisco partner in the region to receive the Cisco Advanced Data Centre Networking Infrastructure Specialisation. This specialisation underpins our assessment-led approach to customer engagement so our customers receive solutions that help improve business performance and environmental sustainability.”

“As a Cisco Advanced DCNI Specialised Partner, Alphawest’s investment in the training and equipment required to provide integrated, collaborative and adaptive data networking solutions ranks them among the industry’s most-qualified,” said John Growdon, director of marketing for worldwide channels at Cisco.

The Cisco Advanced DCNI Specialisation is designed to help enable partners to address the requirements that enterprise and commercial customers face in deploying a wide range of data centre technologies and applications. Cisco Advanced DCNI Specialised Partners are specialists in building end-to-end data centre solutions based on the industry-leading Cisco data centre networking products, including the Nexus Family of data center switching products, Catalyst® 4900 and 6500 Series Switches, Catalyst Blade switches, Firewall Services Module, Network Analysis Module, Application Control Engine module and appliance, Global Site Selector appliance, and Application Networking Manager.

The Cisco Resale Channel Program provides partners with the training required to build sales, technical and Cisco Lifecycle Services skills, and then validates their skills through a third-party audit. Cisco resale partner certifications—Select, Premier, Silver and Gold—represent an increasing breadth of skills across key technologies and a partner’s ability to deliver integrated networking solutions. Cisco resale partner specialisations—SMB, Express, Advanced and Master—reflect an increasing depth of sales, technical and service expertise in particular technologies. Achieving Cisco Advanced DCNI Specialisation also provides Alphawest access to comprehensive sales, technical, and lifecycle services training and support available from Cisco.
