Alphawest Services Pty Ltd, an Australian IT Services business, announced it has signed an agreement with Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) to assist in the design and implementation of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) using TRIM Context®, that delivers comprehensive records management functionality to manage corporate records from creation to destruction.

Alphawest was chosen as the IT Services partner to supply and deploy the EDMS solution following completion of an in-depth evaluation process.

Alphawest and Tower Software are working together to design a solution which meets APRA's specific requirements, storing over 300,000 customer records, storage of multimedia including documents and photographs, offering an improved and consistent process for managing their records and documents across the business.  The system is expected to be completed late in 2005.

"Alphawest is pleased to have been selected by APRA to work alongside Tower Software to provide an EDMS.  Upon completion of the project, APRA will have greater access and faster retrieval of information, ultimately providing a more efficient service to staff, management and APRA’s regulated entities," said Michael dal Maso, Solutions Alliances Manager, Information and Integration Practice, Alphawest.

"Because Alphawest has more than 25 years experience in implementing IT solutions, we are well placed to support government departments and commercial organisations that are looking to grow their enterprise Records, Document and Information Management systems.  We are excited about the opportunity to deliver an EDMS that will meet the business needs of all APRA divisions," Mr dal Maso concluded.
