Alphawest is pleased to announce the acquisition of The Westbourne Group, an ACT-based services business which sells, implements and supports advanced Knowledge Management and Information Management solutions.
Through a customer-centric Information Management strategy Alphawest will continue to provide services to ACT Federal and State government departments, private sector clients and the ACT community through the design, implementation and support of effective Business Process, Records and Information Management solutions.
This acquisition is another strategic move for Alphawest following the successful management buy-out late in 2002 and recent ASX listing in April 2004 and further demonstrates Alphawest’s commitment to growing its national Information Management practice.
“The Westbourne Group is pleased to join a successful Australian publicly listed company with a national focus on delivering Information Management solutions,” said Stephen Davey, Director, The Westbourne Group. “The Westbourne Group customers will see the benefits of partnering with Alphawest through access to a broader range of services and solutions.”
“Our commitment to working with the government and private sector is totally supported through Alphawest’s strategic relationships with vendors including Hummingbird, Tower Software, HandySoft, iManage and Sun Microsystems,” continued Mr Davey.
“Alphawest continually assesses its expertise and the value of the solutions delivered to clients," said Steve McNally, Alphawest National Sales and Marketing Manager. "Alphawest is continuing to invest and grow its Information Management capabilities, to maintain the leading edge in this growth market.”
Alphawest offers a unique combination of skills and experience and has a strong and proven track record in government departments and major enterprises across Australia.
“The Westbourne Group customers will be assured of continuation of service and support locally, whilst gaining advantage of extended support and capability through Alphawest's national infrastructure,” said Shayne Smith, ACT General Manager Alphawest.
The Westbourne Group’s proprietary product offering, Slipstream, will also be strengthened by Alphawest becoming a National Reseller of the product.
