Shelston IP’s selection criteria detailed a solution that offered rapid deployment, flexibility and usability for content authors.

One of Australia’s leading intellectual property firms, recently partnered with Alphawest for the supply of a RedDot Content Management Server (CMS) to manage the firm’s web content.

Shelston IP, following a change in strategic direction and a name change, required a new corporate website along with a content management system to support the new site. The catch being they needed the solution up and running within two weeks. Shelston IP therefore sought flexibility and ease of use in both the content to this extremely tight deadline.

Alphawest has worked previously with reputable legal firms including Freehills, Corrs Chamber Westgarth, Allens Arthur Robinson and Sparke Helmore. Shelston IP selected Alphawest based on this experience and a particular focus on tailoring solutions for the legal sector. The ability to work alongside Shelston IP’s graphic designers, O’Kelly and Associates, in delivering what was to be an “all-hands- on-deck” requirement was also a major factor in the decision making process.

On deciding to move to a platform to enable future growth in the delivery of content to clients and staff, Shelston IP also sought to distribute the ownership and authorship of content to those that know the subject matter most intimately.

Shelston IP’s selection criteria therefore detailed a solution that offered rapid deployment, flexibility and usability for content authors.

“The chosen RedDot CMS will greatly enhance the web experience for our clients and will allow our authors to easily update the information we want to make available for those clients. We particularly like the ability to manage the publication process to the web site, which we can now do in-house” said Lawrence Atkinson, General Manager, Shelston IP.“With a very tight deadline, and fantastic assistance from  Alphawest and O’Kelly’s (both companies put in some very long hours) we were able to publish our site on time and with a minimum of training. We have been delighted with the result.Alphawest has again delivered against the odds.”

“Alphawest is very pleased with these results for Shelston IP, following a number of recent projects within NSW and partnering with legal firms nationally,” said Stephen Wood, NSW General Manager, Alphawest. “Alphawest is dedicated to building strong relationships with the legal market and our selection by Shelston IP is a further example of Alphawest’s commitment to supporting businesses in achieving their goals,” concluded Mr Wood.
