Position: General Manager, Consulting and Design
Location: Sydney, New South Wales

With over 17 years of national and international ICT industry experience, Mike has held roles encompassing product development / marketing, solutions architecture, project management, consulting, engineering, operations, infrastructure management, people management and leadership.

After completing his Bachelor of Business (Comp & MIS) from Charles Sturt University in 1992, Mike began his career in the software industry and has held a wide variety of positions spanning a range of industry verticals. These include Software Development, Government, Consulting, Big 4 International Accounting (and Professional Services), Investment Banking and Securities, and ICT Services.

Mike commenced his tenure at Alphawest in 2002 leading the design of communications solutions for the NSW customer base and tasked with supporting the growth of the NSW business. After the Optus acquisition in 2005, Mike was promoted into a newly created role as National Practice Manager, Unified Communications, and was focused on establishing Alphawest as the market leader in Unified Communications. Subsequently, Mike has held a variety of senior operational and strategic management roles which have seen him contribute strongly to the growth and performance of the business.

In his role as General Manager of Consulting and Design, Mike will focus on driving the provision of industry leading Unified Communications and Collaboration solutions which are optimised to meet the needs of our customers, and maintaining Alphawest’s position as a leading Unified Communications and Collaboration provider within the Australian ICT marketplace.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing sport, and travelling.
