Bruce Boswell

Position:  General Manager, Federal Region
Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Bruce has been working in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) business since joining the Postmaster Generals Department (PMG - now Telstra) in 1968 as a Technician, and has been engaged in management and enterprise sales for just over 20 years in Alphawest, Optus, HP and NEC.
 
Most recently the Customer Solutions Manager for Alphawest in Victoria, he has a useful combination of technical, commercial, strategic sales, people management and leadership experience. Bruce currently holds the role of General Manager, Federal Region for Alphawest.

Bruce has a history of achievement, improvement and the ability to innovate through people management as a key motivator. He likes to work as part of a senior leadership team and from this position knows exactly how his team can positively impact corporate goals.
 
He enjoys solving problems and getting things done through a hands-on management style that encourages high performance and respect from his team and customers.
 
Bruce has a history of applying innovation to bring about productivity gains through organisational change and applying this innovative approach to the development of individual and team competencies.
 
Bruce is passionate about driving out wasteful practices so that the Alphawest team wins high value business more often.
 
He has been successful in senior roles within customer organisations such as BHP and the ANZ Bank and this gives him an unusual insight into what customers need for their businesses, what their buying behaviour is and what this means for the linkage between strategic selling and marketing programs. As an ex-customer of ICT reseller companies, he is absolutely driven and delighted by excellence in delivery.
